About Bhubaneswar Campus
NIFT, Bhubaneswar was established in the year 2010 from a temporary campus at Jatni, in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar and shifted to its permanent campus, located near KIIT University, that was formally inaugurated on 31st March 2012 by the former Minister of Textiles, Shri Anand Sharma and the Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Pattnaik along with other dignitaries. The present campus is built with the support of the Government of Odisha, in terms of 10 acres of land and a financial assistance of Rs 58.6 crores. NIFT Bhubaneswar has promised a 20% reservation of seats for domicile of Odisha.

Craft Cluster Initiative
As a part of our craft cluster initiative programme, every department send its students to interact with the artisans engaged in handloom and handicraft activities. Our students spend 4-5 days with the artisans understanding their work life and participate in the development of new product designs and new market linkages for better livelihood of the artisans.
