About

"Dr. Sudeep Kumar Jain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhopal, India. He specializes in advanced manufacturing, metal additive manufacturing, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), welding technologies, materials characterization, and process optimization. He holds a PhD in Metal Additive Manufacturing from Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, and brings interdisciplinary academic and research experience in manufacturing and materials engineering.

Dr. Jain’s research interests include CMT-WAAM, SS316L fabrication, microstructural characterization, mechanical properties, residual stress, process parameter optimization, sustainable manufacturing, and Industry 4.0. Published 8 research publications in international journals (SCIE Indexed) covering additive manufacturing, materials engineering, welding, and advanced manufacturing. He also holds 4 patents, reflecting his interest in translating research outcomes into innovative technological solutions. His research emphasizes process optimization, improved material performance, and efficient manufacturing systems.

Dr. Jain is actively involved in teaching, student mentoring, research collaboration, and academic outreach. He supports students in developing practical and research-oriented knowledge in manufacturing technologies and materials. His professional interests include emerging manufacturing technologies, digital manufacturing, sustainable production, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
