The four-year Fashion Interiors programme, offered by the Department of Fashion Interiors, integrates interior design with fashion, textiles, lifestyle and emerging spatial practices. The curriculum combines design thinking, creativity, technology and innovation with a strong emphasis on sustainability, aesthetics and user experience. Students explore the transformation of physical spaces into meaningful, functional and engaging experiences across residential, commercial, hospitality, retail and luxury environments. Through studio practice, material exploration, digital technologies, industry projects, workshops, site visits and expert interactions, the programme develops creative, technical and professional capabilities, preparing graduates for the evolving interior design industry and opportunities in design, entrepreneurship and related fields.

The Department of Fashion Interiors offers two Interdisciplinary Minors (IDMs)—Fundamental Interiors for undergraduate students and Interior Spaces for postgraduate students. Fundamental Interiors introduces students to spatial planning, aesthetics, ergonomics, materials, construction, lighting, colour and interior styling, supported by studio projects, digital visualisation and technical documentation. Interior Spaces develops advanced capabilities in commercial, retail and fashion-oriented environments, with emphasis on spatial planning, material innovation, lighting, furniture systems, environmental psychology, sustainability, universal design and experiential design. Students enrolled in Fashion Interiors may, in turn, pursue Interdisciplinary Minors offered by other academic departments to broaden their learning beyond their primary discipline.

General Electives provide opportunities to explore areas of knowledge beyond the primary discipline, encouraging intellectual curiosity and interdisciplinary learning. Offered across a range of subjects, these courses broaden perspectives, strengthen critical thinking and support the development of transferable skills. By engaging with diverse academic, creative and societal contexts, students gain a well-rounded educational experience that complements their disciplinary knowledge and prepares them for the evolving demands of professional practice.
