Priyanka Khandelwal, a NIFT Gandhinagar alumna (MFM, 2011), is the Founder and Director of Abira Creations Pvt. Ltd. Through WHE, she blends contemporary design, traditional crafts, and sustainability, empowering 180+ women artisans and training 500+ women.
WHE collaborates with Indian crafts such as Lambadi embroidery, Kutch mirror work, Kalamkari, Batik, Banarasi brocade, Dhokra, Bidri, silver filigree, and Sabai grass weaving, preserving regional identities while adapting traditional skills to contemporary design.
WHE transforms discarded materials like garment waste, reclaimed wood, natural fibres, and paper into contemporary jewellery and lifestyle products. Through collaborative design, it supports artisans, revives crafts, promotes sustainability, and empowers women’s livelihoods.
WHE stands for Women, Handmade and Eco-friendly. Founded under Abira Creations, it blends traditional crafts, contemporary design, and circular practices to create handcrafted jewellery and lifestyle products, empowering women artisans while transforming waste into valuable products.
