Rahul Khadaliya, a graduate of NIFT Bengaluru in Lifestyle Accessory Design, is the Founder and Creative Director of The Second Life and Studio ABCD, Bengaluru. With 13 years of experience, he combines circular design, traditional craftsmanship and material innovation to create sustainable lifestyle products.
The Second Life began in 2010 by transforming discarded newspapers through traditional block printing. Over time, the practice expanded into innovative upcycling, craft revival and collaborations with artisans, creating meaningful products from waste materials.
The Second Life transforms discarded materials into functional stationery, bags, home décor and lifestyle accessories. By combining upcycling, block printing and craft-based production, the brand promotes circular design, resource efficiency and contemporary applications of traditional skills.
The Second Life is a sustainable design initiative that transforms waste into meaningful products while supporting traditional crafts and inclusive livelihoods. Through circular design, material innovation and artisan collaboration, it encourages mindful consumption and responsible production.
