Explored multiple crafts across India after graduation before focusing on print crafts and founding SootiSyahi, driven by a passion for travel and India's rich textile heritage inspired at the Chanderi fort.
Celebrates the craft of the thread and the art of the ink, combining handwoven fabrics with diverse traditional hand-printing and dyeing techniques (such as hand block printing, Sanganeri print, Shibori, Bandhani, Dabu, and Kalamkari).
Operates as a D2C label utilizing a Just-In-Time (JIT) model to reduce waste and build a sustainable business model in the fashion sector. Creates a contemporary range of ethnic styles, sarees, apparel, and home textiles designed by a professional team and executed by 30 happy artisan partners, resulting in improved incomes and new practices.
