NIFT was given the task to design Uniform for the women motorcycle contingent ( SEEMA BHAWANI) of Border Security Force (BSF), India who will be performing stunts on motorcycles during the Republic day Parade on the 26th of January 2022. The research was undertaken based on the interaction with the client, where the user needs of motorcycle riders were identified and design developments were generated in accordance with the user needs. The NIFT team presented various options for colour, fabric composition and styles after detailed research into the requirements of the stakeholders. The final samples were approved by the Client and delivered by the NIFT Team.
The new uniform developed was more protective, ergonomic, comfortable and aesthetical for BSF’s women motorcycle riders.
