- NIFT has strategic agreements and partnerships with more than 30 leading international fashion Institutes and organizations that share the same academic direction, integrating NIFT students with the global mainstream of fashion. International collaborations allow students to experience ‘study abroad’ options through exchange program. This initiative provides an excellent opportunity to NIFT students, selected for the exchange programme, to interact with students from various geographies, encouraging them to broaden their vision and understand different cultures.

- Two students went for international semester exchange during July – December, 2016 at KEA, Denmark and Mod’Art International, Paris. Similarly 8 students went for international semester exchange during Jan – June -2017 to NABA, Italy; ENSAIT, France; BUNKA Fashion College, Japan. Students have also been selected for summer programmmesat Mod’Art International, Paris; ENSAIT, France; Bunka, Japan; NABA, Italy; KEA, Denmark and FIT, New York.

- NIFT Gandhinagar is a Co-Member of A-Leaguewhich is a forum for promoting students’ activities and interaction with prestigious member institutes such as IIM Ahmedabad, NID, IIT Gandhinagar, GNLU, NIRMA University, PDPU, CEPT, EDII, MICA, DAIICT, AIIM, SEAS-AU and IIT Vadodara.

- NIFT Gandhinagar has recently signed an MOU with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) that covers broad areas of collaboration including Faculty sharing (for academic and jury), Infrastructure sharing, faculty training, resource centre sharing, joint projects, joint publications etc. NIFT Gandhinagar will be shortly setting up an Incubation Centre for which EDII will provide technical assistance and guidance.

- NIFT Gandhinagar’s MOU with the National Institute of Design (NID) allows its students access to NID’s Library and Resource Centre as well as exchange of faculty and students across academics, special events and extra-curricular activities.

- NIFT Gandhinagar has been empanelled as an Assessment Agency with the Textiles Committee, Ministry of Textiles (GOI) for assessment of trainees under the Integrated Skill Development Scheme (ISDS)

- NIFT Gandhinagar was given a special Memento of Appreciation for actively participating in activities coordinated by the Narcotics Control Bureau, Gujarat.
