Resource Centre (RC) is the nodal centre of information at National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar. It is an integrated collection of garments, accessories, textiles, fabric swatches, jewelry, books, journals, fashion forecasts, color panton, audio-visual material etc. Resource centre consists of Library wing and Material Wing.  Print collection includes books and periodicals related to fashion studies and associated disciplines. Audio-visual collection pertains to history of costume and art, fashion illustration, garment manufacturing and design collections of NIFT graduates. The reference collection of RC comprises of manuals, standards, reports, news clippings, trade catalogues from manufacturing industries and retailers, and other sources. Leading international fashion forecast services and journals on Fashion and Textiles are subscribed. Resource Centre showcases designer clothing and regional costumes of India. International collections include costumes from different countries of the world and garments from leading multinational fashion houses. Selective design collections of graduating students (now well-known designers) are documented and inventoried in RC. The Textile collection includes fully documented and methodically arranged fabrics. Fashion Accessories and Jewelry collections are also available. 

Resource Center has subscription of electronic resources like e-books, e-journals, online databases and trend forecasting service from prominent publishers such as EBSCO, ProQuest, JSTOR, Bloomsbury, Taylor & Francis, Magzter, WGSN, etc. To facilitate and promote use of e-resources, NIFT, Gandhinagar Resource centre provides an off- campus (remote) access of subscribed e-resources to faculty members, scholars and students.  RC team can be contacted to get access through user id and password.

Resource Centre uses e-Granthalaya, an integrated multi-lingual library management software, developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) for collection management and offering numerous information services. It includes features such as Union catalogue, Web OPAC, Advanced search, Article Index, Barcode based circulation and Cloud Ready Application.
