Every year students at NIFT Gandhinagar undertake live projects during their final year in the industry culminating in a graduation showcase. This year Graduation Showcase was stared on 24th May 2023 in which students shared their experiences and presented their work undertaken with various prestigious industries like Aditya Birla Fashion Retail Limited, Tatacliq, Reliance Retail (RIL), ABRFL (Madhura Garment Pvt.Ltd), Pantaloons, Fabindia Ltd among others. The chief guest of the Show, Shri Manoj Kumar, Hon. Chairman, Khadi & Village Industries Commission KVIC) inaugurated the event along with Prof. (Dr.) Sameer Sood, Director, NIFT Gandhinagar.

Shri Manoj Kumar and Prof. Sood, interacted with the students to understand their projects and learning outcomes. The chief guest appreciated the students’ hard work and explorations in the field of textiles which will enable futuristic textile improvements.

During his interaction with students, Campus Director, Prof (Dr.) Sameer Sood motivated the young minds, “Graduation isn’t the end of a tough journey but a beautiful beginning.  Let your dreams be your wings to carry you into the future.  It’s time to show the world your real ability and conquer what you dream.”

The Graduation Showcase encompasses the various projects undertaken by final-year students in the industry. The projects are four month-long working experience gained by these students diversely in, fashion designing, textile, accessory and lifestyle, communication and media, management, and fashion technology industries. Students were awarded for Best Graduation Project, Commercial and Viable Design Intervention, and Innovative and Creative designs for each department.
