NIFT Hyderabad warmly welcomed the incoming batch of 2024-2028 with a three-day orientation program designed to introduce new students to the vibrant campus life at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad. The first day of the orientation began with an auspicious inaugural ceremony featuring traditional lamp lighting and Sarasvati Vandana. Dr. Annaji Sharma, Campus Academic Coordinator, extended a heartfelt welcome to the students, setting the tone for the days ahead. Following this, Dr. Malini Divakala, Director of NIFT Hyderabad, delivered an inspiring address, emphasising the institute's vision and mission, and encouraging students to embark on their creative journeys with passion and dedication. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Mr. Joginder Tanikella, CEO of T-Works; Ms. Archana Rao, renowned fashion designer, NIFT alumna, and costume designer of the movie Kalki; and Mr. Shrisha Bhargava, Senior Vice President of Welspun India. Their insightful lectures provided students with a glimpse into the industry and the opportunities that lie ahead, igniting their aspirations as future designers. The orientation program continued over the next two days with a series of informative sessions, including talks on the NIFT ecosystem, cultural events, and engaging ice-breaking activities. The program culminated in the vibrant ‘Rangtarang’ performances, where the new students showcased their talents, setting the stage for their exciting journey at NIFT Hyderabad.
