NIFT Hyderabad Hosts Artist Awareness Workshop and Craft Bazaar 2025
NIFT Hyderabad successfully organized the Artist Awareness Workshop and Craft Bazaar, bringing together artisans from various craft clusters across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The workshop was inaugurated on March 5, 2025, with the objective of fostering knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and collaboration between artisans, faculty, and students.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Malini Divakala, Director; Prof. Dr. Prithwiraj Mal, Joint Director; Prof. Dr. Ram Mohan Rao, CAC; and Prof. Rajeshkumar G, CIC, DC H officials, faculty members, and students.
Faculty members from various departments actively engaged with the artisans, facilitating discussions on craft techniques, material innovations, and sustainable design approaches. Students from different design disciplines enthusiastically participated in hands-on workshops, interactive sessions, and live craft demonstrations, gaining valuable insights into traditional craftsmanship and its contemporary relevance.
The Craft Bazaar provided a unique opportunity for artisans to showcase and sell their handcrafted products, while students explored the significance of indigenous crafts in design and market integration.
