About NIFT
National Institute of Fashion Technology is one of the pioneering institutes of Fashion education providing a learning experience of the highest standards in fashion pertaining to design, technology, and management. It has been in the vanguard of providing professional human resources to the textile and apparel industry and was established in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textile, Government of India. At present NIFT has full-fledged 17 campuses across India, NIFT Jodhpur being one of them.

NIFT Jodhpur made its humble beginning in the year 2010 from its temporary campus at Sojati Gate and is currently operating from the permanent campus at Karwar. NIFT Jodhpur offers four-year Bachelor's and two-year Master's programmes in the area of Design, Technology, and Management. The Center has a very good liaison with many Crafts industries and research organizations
NIFT Jodhpur is associated with various local craftsmen, artists, and merchants, (Jodhpur being the Handicraft Hub of the country) and provides the best real-life situations and learning opportunities to its students. NIFT Jodhpur along with NID, IIHT, NLU, IIT and other leading national colleges & industry experts of the city holds regular basis interactions with them for the welfare of their own students /faculties and others.
Over the years NIFT- Jodhpur has also been working as a knowledge service provider to the State governments in the area of design development and positioning of handlooms and handicrafts. The center has a vision: a learning experience of the highest standard's in fashion pertaining to design, technology, and management and encourage our remarkably creative student body to draw inspiration from India’s Textiles and Crafts while focusing on emerging global trends relevant to the industries.
Conference Brief
International Conference on Advances in Textile, Fashion, and Crafts aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Textiles and Fashion. In recent time the Coronavirus outbreak has disrupted the global economy and supply chains, thereby hampering nearly all the major and minor industries, unsettling the Crafts sector as well. Covid-19 has forced the world towards the partial and total lockdown, pushing them to shut down all the outlets dealing with non-essential goods, cutting off the global demand for Textiles and Crafts. In this platform, all the recent development and impact of Covid-19 in the Crafts and textile sector will be the focus. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Textile, Fashion and Crafts.
