Apart from well-established fashion-related industries in and around the county, NIFT Kangra students get access and opportunities to venture into non-traditional industries like E-commerce, Multimedia and start-Ups as well.

A total of 146 students graduated in the 2021. Among these students, 16 students (approx. 11%) opted for either higher studies or wanted to start their own business while 72 students (approx. 49%) got pre-placement offers or got placed through Campus Placements or got their jobs through Off-Campus placements.

Industry & Alumni interactions: An Alumni interaction was organized during the Orientation program on 23rd August 2021.  All the alumni brought with them diverse experiences which they shared with the freshers and gave them valuable suggestions. Also, a pre-placement workshop titled “Present scenario of Fashion Industry & soft skill requirements” was also held on 12th June for the graduating batch.

Industry experts were called upon to brief the students about current scenario of the fashion industry and to prepare them for the upcoming placements.
