The Resource Centre plays a dominant role in NIFT Shillong, both in the provision of information for study and research, and in the preservation of rare and beautiful materials which records the Crafts Works of our Students of different Departments,  It offers a "walk" through the history of information, from the beautiful collections of print and non-print reference materials, it is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of Digital Mode, online databases, designer garments, materials, accessories, books, journals, project.

The Resource Centre has a Total Book collection of 6500, All these books are entered in the Cloud Base Integrated multi-location library management database e-Granthalaya of the National Informatics Centre.

It also has access to 209 e-books, 10 online Database & 80 Forecasts.

Periodicals are also subscribed by both the Centre & NRC.
