- The very first batch of students at NIFT Bhubaneswar passed out in 2012 and all of them got placed soon after the completion of their program. This set a trend and has continued so far. Since Bhubaneswar does not have a organized industry background, except for retail, most of our students get placed in the major fashion retail, export and manufacturing hubs of the country like Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and other cities with all top names in the apparel, textiles and fashion industry. There were hardly any organized apparel manufacturing in Odisha, but today, Bhubaneswar has been able to attract two major apparel manufacturers like Shahi Exports and Madura Garments, and others are ensuing. This has started strengthening NIFT-Industry interface at Bhubaneswar.
