NIFT Gandhinagar hosted its convocation for the Class of 2022 on October 8, 2022. Director, NIFT Gandhinagar Prof (Dr.) Sameer Sood delivered the Welcome Address and presented the Academic Report. Prof (Dr.) Vandana Narang, Dean Academics, NIFT administered the convocation pledge to the graduates.
Shri. Upendra Prasad Singh (IAS), Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, GOI was the Chief Guest of the event. He congratulated the young graduates and highlighted the expectations of the industry from NIFT students. In his speech he advised the students life lessons to do what they love, to be persistent, to be humble, to make wise choices, to not set goals only on the basis of monetary gains, to think out of the box, to not be a cynic, to take life as a learning process and to be sincere but not serious.
200 students from the streams of Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Textile Design, Accessory Design, Fashion Management and Fashion Technology graduated from NIFT Gandhinagar Campus.
