DESIGN NUCLEUS ‘26

A Summer Workshop for Curious Young Minds

Design Nucleus ’26 aims to inspire school children through hands-on, minds-on activities that engage and encourage creative thinking. This 5-day i.e. 18^th to 22^nd May 2026, immersive experience provides young learners the opportunity to explore unique ideas and express them through the lens of professional design.

THE WORKSHOP CURRICULUM

Experience a week of creativity, from traditional crafts to modern digital arts:

NIFT Experience: Introduction and Ice-breaking.

Design your Croqui: Fashioning with diverse materials.

Batik Workshop: Learn the art of wax-resist designing and dyeing.

Tie & Dye Workshop: Tie-dye is a resist-dyeing technique where fabric is folded, twisted, or crumpled and bound with ties to prevent dye from reaching certain areas, resulting in unique, vibrant patterns through a permanent chemical bond.

Capturing Frames: Professional Photography techniques.

Form Play: exploring the structural side of creativity.

Hue-Turn – The Post Boards Palette: A colour palette inspired by the "Hue-Turn" aesthetic—likely focusing on that vibrant, shifting, and modern look found on mood boards or design platforms like Pinterest and Behance..

Paper Craft: The art of transforming paper into three-dimensional objects or decorative designs through cutting, folding, and gluing.

Yarn Craft: The art of interloping or knotting fibre strands using tools like needles or hooks to create fabric and decorative items.

Frame by Frame: Final display and grand finale.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

For the students of 8^th class to 12^th class

Timings: 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday to Friday).

Essentials: Please carry a water bottle and a basic stationery box (pencils, ruler, eraser, sharpener) daily.

Tech Day: Participants must bring a camera or phone camera for one specific day (details will be provided 24 hours in advance).

Logistics: Drop-off and pick-up are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Hospitality: Nutritious Lunch and Evening Snacks are provided for all participants.

Recognition: Certificates will be distributed during the finale on the last day.

REGISTRATION & FEES

Workshop Cost: INR 8,000/- + 18% GST in total (9,440/-)

(Inclusive of all workshop materials, lunch, and snacks)
