Craft Bazaar 2022

NIFT Kolkata has organized Craft Bazaar on 24th November & 25th November 2022. Around 55 artisans-weavers from 28 different handloom and handicrafts cluster participated in this gorgeous event for exhibition cum sale of their handloom and handicraft products. The Craft Bazaar has achieved the glory of a sale of craft products worth Rs. 5 lakhs approx. The programme inaugurated by hon’ble chief guest Shri S. Suresh Kumar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Power department, Government of West Bengal. He was felicitated by Smt. V. Lalithalaxmi, IAS, Director NIFT Kolkata. The hon’ble chief guest addressed to all the participated craftsmen, artisans and weavers. Students and the employees of NIFT Kolkata along with their family members and friends have participated in the event. Government officials along with designers and NIFT alumni were also present in the occassion. The valedictory session of Craft Bazaar was conducted in presence of Mr. Vibhu Goel, IAS and CEO, WBSLRM (West Bengal State Rural Livelihood Mission), Govt. of West Bengal. Mementoes and certificates have been issued to the artisans-weavers individually. The programme ended with vote of thanks.
