Eastern Zonal Converge 2022

NIFT, Kolkata has successfully hosted the Converge, 2022 Eastern Zonal Round from 22.04.22 to 24.04.22. Converge, the annual NIFT Fest, has been organized in order to give exposure towards the extra-curricular activities of NIFT students and provide them an opportunity to exhibit their talents in various fields like sports, cultural, literary etc.  The Eastern Zonal round of Converge-2022 was organized by NIFT, Kolkata and participated by four NIFT Campuses of eastern region, viz. NIFT, Bhubaneswar, NIFT, Kolkata, NIFT, Patna and NIFT, Shillong. 

During the 3 day event, the zonal round of Converge was organized in both offline and online mode. All events of literary and some cultural competitions were organized in the online mode and all sports events and the rest of the cultural events were held in the offline mode. Some of the highlighting competitions are Singing, Group Dance, Battle of Bands, Mr. & Ms. Converge, Volleyball, Basketball, Running, Chess, Carrom, Guess who debate,Quiz, Shayari, Mystery box, Poster Making, Pati, Hijack, Prankstar, Slam poetry, Ad-Mad, Creative Writing, Meme making, Pati, Photography etc. 

Eminent personalities from Kolkata in the field of sports, cultural and performing arts attended the zonal Converge and encouraged the student participants by boosting up their morale with their gracious presence. Grand Master Dibyendu Barua grace the occasion as Chief Guest during Inaugural ceremony and renowned Dancer & Film Actress Ms. Mamata Shankar graced the occasion as Guest of Honour during the Valedictory programme The students of four NIFT campuses of eastern region have attended the Converge-2022, Eastern Zonal Round with full of enthusiasm, joy and spirit of participation.
