National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Daman had the honor of hosting Mr. Amitabh Kant on a remarkable visit that left an indelible impression on the students and faculty. As India assumes the prestigious presidency of the G20, this visit symbolizes a deep commitment to addressing global challenges with unity and determination. The visit is a testament to NIFT to Daman's role in shaping the future of design and fashion and at the same time India's leadership on the global stage.

Students Visit to Delhi for G20 Finale

Students and faculty of NIFT Daman actively participated in G20 University Connect. It demonstrated our commitment to excellence and our desire to engage meaningfully in global dialogues. NIFT Daman was honoured to be part of the grand finale at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This historic event was graced by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who addressed the gathering and inspired everyone with his vision for the future.

Craft Cluster

Exploring the Essence of Warli, through its surroundings and knowing their cultural beliefs. Students of NIFT Daman, MFM Department, went to the craft cluster in Silvassa, Dudhani, and Dapada regions of Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, to study the craft of warli, meeting the warli artists, and learn about their way of art and how they sell it in the market. Visiting the villages of Dudhani and Dapada, Meeting more artisans, and exploring warli in new directions. Talking and knowing them with their Traditional food on Lunch. Meeting the government officials and knowing about the policies along with guiding them and discussing improving the opportunities of the Warli tribe.
