Dipraj Sinha is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). He specializes in store experience design, visual merchandising, space design, publication design, branding, and fashion styling. With extensive academic and professional experience in fashion design education, he delivers specialized instruction that combines creative design principles with strategic industry applications. Prior to his academic career, he worked with leading retail organizations, including Future Group, LimeRoad.com, and Reliance Retail Limited.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Design Entrepreneurship from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. His academic and research focus centers on sustainable handicrafts, spatial brand experiences, design-driven business models, and the integration of traditional artisan techniques into contemporary visual merchandising. He actively guides curriculum development, oversees student design initiatives, and manages major exhibition projects that showcase student work at prominent industry platforms, including Delhi Fashion Week.
Beyond his core academic responsibilities, Mr. Sinha actively mentors students in professional skills, personal branding, corporate deportment, and career placement strategies. He served as the Regional Industry Coordinator at the NIFT Jodhpur campus, where he facilitated vital industry-academia partnerships. In addition, he engages in collaborative initiatives with regional artisan communities to promote sustainable craft practices and fosters ongoing connections between students, alumni, and fashion retail networks.
