Financial Aid

SARTHAK is NIFT's primary financial assistance scheme for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students from economically weaker backgrounds. The scheme aims to ensure continuity of education by providing financial support towards tuition fees based on prescribed family income criteria and other eligibility requirements.

Applications are invited annually through the respective campuses. Students must submit the prescribed application form along with the required supporting documents within the notified timeline. Financial assistance is awarded in accordance with the approved policy and applicable income category and is not an entitlement.

UDAAN provides financial assistance to eligible students participating in approved international academic exchange and study abroad programmes as part of their academic journey at NIFT. The scheme promotes global academic exposure while supporting meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds.

Eligible students selected for approved overseas programmes may apply through their respective campuses by submitting the prescribed application form along with the required supporting documents. Financial assistance is awarded in accordance with the approved policy and the availability of scholarships.

The Student Laptop Assistance Scheme provides interest-free financial assistance to eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students for the purchase of a laptop, recognising it as an essential academic resource for design education at NIFT.

Eligible students enrolled in regular academic programmes who satisfy the prescribed income and policy requirements may apply through their respective campuses by submitting the prescribed application form along with the required supporting documents. Financial assistance is awarded in accordance with the approved policy.

NIFT facilitates access to Government of India financial assistance initiatives that support eligible students in pursuing higher education. Students may avail scholarships and education loan facilities through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and the PM Vidyalaxmi Scheme, subject to the respective scheme guidelines and eligibility criteria.

National Scholarship Portal (NSP)

The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is the Government of India's integrated platform for administering scholarships offered by Central Ministries, State Governments and other agencies. Eligible NIFT students may apply for applicable scholarship schemes through the portal in accordance with the prescribed eligibility criteria, application timelines and documentation requirements.

PM Vidyalaxmi Scheme

PM Vidyalaxmi is a Government of India initiative that enables eligible students to access education loans through participating financial institutions. Students admitted to recognised institutions, including NIFT, may apply online in accordance with the scheme guidelines and the lending institution's terms and conditions.
