Dr. Ujwal Banerjee is an Associate Professor with Department of Fashion Design, Campus Academic Coordinator (CAC) and I/C Joint Director at NIFT Raipur Campus. He holds a PhD degree in Visual Art titled “DHOKRA OF BASTAR: JOURNEY FROM TRIBAL ART TO URBAN DESIGN” He is Masters in Visual Art and specializes in Printmaking, Drawing Art History & Aesthetics. He joined NIFT in the year 2009 & since then served at Raebareli and Varanasi campus in various capacities before joining NIFT Raipur. He has worked in other reputed design institutes and has a culmination of 18 years. He specializes in Visualization & Representation, Art, Design & Aesthetics, Portfolio, Costume for Theatre and Films. He has participated in various art exhibitions and workshops in India and Abroad. His research interests are Craft Study, Visual and Material Culture, Art and Design practices.
