Dr. Manish Kumar Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication and the Public Relations Officer at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Jodhpur, under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. He is UGC-NET qualified in Mass Communication and holds a Master’s degree as well as a PhD in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Rajasthan. He also earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Science Journalism from the prestigious Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Bhopal, following his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kota.
Dr. Sharma brings a rich background in professional journalism, having worked with several established national news agencies, print media organizations, and digital web portals. Alongside his industry experience, he possesses over eight years of academic and administrative experience in higher education. His core areas of expertise include print media, design research, new media, publication, public relations and advertising. An avid researcher, he has published numerous research papers in national and international journals. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the prestigious Manak Alankaran-2023 award for excellence in journalism among public relations professionals, and has also been conferred with the Sarvabhasha Sahityakar Samman.
