Chandra Shekhar is an Associate Professor at the Department of Fashion Communication, NIFT Jodhpur. He is an alumnus of NIFT Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur. Before joining academia, he worked with the apparel & textile industry, the development sector, and the Indian craft sector. His doctoral research explores identity construction and thereby the experience of meaningfulness in the context of the Indian IT (information technology) work. His current research interests include critical fashion studies, matters of self and subjectivity, systems and statergic thinking, and leveraging collective human emotions for designing speculative futures.
