Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Khare is Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology and currently serves as Director (In-charge), NIFT Mumbai. He holds a doctorate in Statistics and brings over three decades of academic experience, having worked in academia since 1995 and as a Professor since 2008. His expertise includes garment technology, apparel production management, apparel quality management, apparel supply chain management, and business process reengineering.

Dr. Tanmay Kandekar has been associated with the Fashion Management Studies Department at NIFT-Mumbai since 2009. He also holds the strategic role of unit-in-charge of alumni affairs at the NIFT head office. His expertise spans fashion retail management, marketing research, intellectual property rights, and finance.

Mr. Sachin Bhatnagar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Management Studies at NIFT Mumbai, with over eighteen years of combined industry and academic experience in fashion management, international marketing, export business, and social entrepreneurship. Before joining academia, he worked with export-oriented manufacturing organizations serving international buyers, gaining practical expertise in global sourcing, merchandising, export management, and international trade.

Bhawana Dubey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Knitwear Design Department. She holds an MSc in Clothing and Textiles and is currently pursuing her PhD at Banasthali Vidhyapith, Rajasthan. She is currently a campus coordinator of the Knitwear Design department. She joined NIFT in 2008 and has over 18 years of experience in academics. Her areas of expertise include textiles, Surface embellishment, draping, traditional textiles, natural dyes, and material understanding.

Shankhalina Choudhury is an Assistant Professor in the department of Fashion Design NIFT, Mumbai. She teaches courses at the undergraduate level and has guided several master's dissertations. A NIFT alumna with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and master’s degree in Design Research, her areas of interest are ‘Sustainable Design’, ‘Adaptive Clothing’ and ‘Craft and Culture Studies’. She has presented her research at several renowned national and international conferences.

Prof. Patricia Sumod, PhD, is a distinguished professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai, India, and an alumna of the same esteemed institution. With over two decades of combined industry and academic experience, she is recognized as a leading expert in fashion and textile design, costume studies, and design education. Her career began in the Indian film and television industry, working alongside renowned costume designer Ashley Rebello.

Dr. Kundlata Mishra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Design at NIFT Mumbai, where she joined in 2006. With more than two decades of academic, research, and industry-linked experience, she specialises in performance clothing, functional and adaptive wear, uniform design, sustainability, craft design, and technical interventions in fashion.

Kavita Pathare is an Associate Professor with the Department of Fashion Technology and the CI&DL for NIFT Mumbai campus & was a Nodal Officer for EnaMoma Institute Paris. Ms. Kavita is pursuing her PhD in sustainability. Ms Kavita is an alumnus of NIFT and has been professionally associated with NIFT Mumbai since the year 2003. She has worked in the garment manufacturing industry and has been an academician now for nearly 20 years.

Mr. Nitin Uttam Salve is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai, and specializes in Application Development and Information Technology. He has been serving at NIFT since 2014 and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in programming, data handling, algorithm design and data structures, database management, web development, ERP, and Artificial Intelligence in Fashion. He previously served as Head of the Department from 2020 to 2023.

Saurabh h Chaturvedi is MF Tech from NIFT and PhD from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Delhi. His is also Textile Engineer from SVITS Indore. He has total 22  years of Experience and out of which 7 years are in industry. He has handled brand like Esprit,Nike and GAP and worked as production executive and merchandiser. He has also worked as Production Planning and control manager for H&M.
