Kumaraguru Kasinathan is an Assistant Professor of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Chennai, where he teaches, mentors students, coordinates academic activities, and contributes to curriculum development. His expertise spans textile design, digital textile printing, colour management, jacquard design, weaving, surface design, and sustainable textile development. He brings extensive experience across textile education, design practice, industry collaboration, and academic engagement.

Prof. Raghuram Jayaraman is an expert in Computer Applications and Knowledge Management for fashion business and is profusely known for identifying, analysing, enabling systems & technologies to achieve the strategic objectives of the institute.He served in various Academic Administration and Executive Leadership positions at NIFT and visited several industry and academic institutes in USA, Middle East, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cambodia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Egypt and Jordan to strengthen NIFT-Industry - Alumni engagements.

Sathish S is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories (F&LA) at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Chennai. He specializes in Accessories Design, Leather Design, Leather Goods and Manufacturing, Fashion Forecasting, Design Research and Methodologies, and Fashion Management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Leather Technology from A.C. Tech, Anna University (CLRI), Chennai, and a Master’s degree in Space Design from NIFT, New Delhi.

I am an Associate professor of Knitwear design and specializes in Database Managemet systems,currently teach Graphics softwares Adobe photoshop.Adobe illustrator,Adobe in design, Basic Photography,Presentation techniques and Craft research and documentation.

Mr. K. Nandakumar is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Chennai, and serves as the Regional Industry Coordinator. He specializes in knitwear design, sportswear, apparel development, fashion forecasting, and industry–institute collaboration. He has extensive academic and professional experience in teaching, student mentoring, curriculum support, placement coordination, alumni engagement, internships, graduation projects, and industry-linked learning initiatives.

Dr D Samuel Wesley is an alumnus of IIT Delhi presently a Professor of Fashion Technology, teaching UG and PG students and guiding PhD candidate having more than 3 decades of experience in industry, teaching, research and academic administrator.

Research interests includes apparel manufacturing, machine innovation, automation, sewing threads, special garments, maternity wear, textile materials innovation, fashion preference analysis etc.

Dr. Sunitha Vasan is a Professor in the Knitwear Design Department. She has a wide experience in the Knitwear Industry and had joined at Chennai at the inception of the Department in 2000. She is a GMT Alumni of NIFT,Chennai which was being further upgraded to MFTech. She has completed her Doctoral Degree in Textile Management and also has a MBA Degree.

Dr. D Praveen Nagarajan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology, Chennai and Joint Director (I/c) NIFT Chennai campus. He has completed B.E (Textile Technology), M. Tech., (Textile Technology) , and PhD in Engineering (Sustainable Natural Fiber Green composite).

Dr.Geetha Ranjini is an Associate Professor with the department of Fashion Design is a millennial batch FD graduate from NIFT, Bangalore, with the award of best fabric development. With the rich knowledge of Fashion Design, Graphic Design for Fashion, Master's in Business Administration, and teaching experience of 26 years. She has a rich knowledge of Handlooms of Tamilnadu after completing her Ph.D. research on ‘Sustainability of Silk Weavers in Tamilnadu’.

Lordsun Sivakumar S is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), with over 22 years of diverse experience across fashion and apparel design, merchandising, product development, fashion styling, creative direction, and fashion education. His expertise bridges industry practice and academic learning, with teaching and mentoring in fashion styling, editorial styling, fashion concepts, apparel merchandising, product development, design fundamentals, and creative thinking.
