Having experience of more than 27 years, with 7 years in the corporate sector that is in sales & marketing and 20 years in teaching. Currently associated with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Jodhpur since 2012. Published and presented many papers, posters and case studies at reputed National & International platforms.
Ms. Shweta Joon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Jodhpur. Her areas of expertise include traditional textiles, surface and print design, craft, design processes, portfolio development, and design thinking. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design from NIFT Bengaluru and a Master’s degree in Fashion Management (MFM) from NIFT Gandhinagar. She has more than 10 years of experience.
Chandra Shekhar is an Associate Professor at the Department of Fashion Communication, NIFT Jodhpur. He is an alumnus of NIFT Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur. Before joining academia, he worked with the apparel & textile industry, the development sector, and the Indian craft sector. His doctoral research explores identity construction and thereby the experience of meaningfulness in the context of the Indian IT (information technology) work.
Dr. Madan Lal Regar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Jodhpur, and is associated with the UI–ERP initiative. He has also served as the Center Coordinator of Fashion Design at NIFT Jodhpur. With more than 10 years of teaching and research experience, his areas of expertise include textile technology, textiles and crafts, fashion, handloom and handicrafts, textile engineering, functional and protective textiles, and sustainable textile practices.
Mr. Amit Das is an Assistant Professor with the department of fashion Communication. He has completed his post graduation in
Journalism and Mass Communication. He has more than 7 years of industry experience in retail industry as Visual Merchandiser
with companies like Colorplus Fashions Ltd, Globus stores, Max standard stores after completion of graduation in Fashion
Communication from NIFT Mumbai. He also has worked in NIFT Bhubaneswar as Assistant Professor from 2016 till 2022.
Priyanka Verma is an AssistantProfessor with Fashion Design Department at NIFT Jodhpur. She is a Post Graduate in Textile Design and Graduate in Fashion Design from NIFT Chennai. She has worked in the industry at various sectors including Craft clusters and has been an academician now for 7 years at NIFT. She specialises in Design Strategy, Design Methodology, Portfolio Development, Luxury Fashion, Fashion Design Representations.
Dr. Manish Kumar Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication and the Public Relations Officer at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Jodhpur, under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. He is UGC-NET qualified in Mass Communication and holds a Master’s degree as well as a PhD in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Rajasthan.
